We can make an application for Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration on your behalf for a fixed fee if you provide us with the information required.
To enable us to complete the application you would need to provide valuations of each of the deceased’s assets and liabilities, as at the date of death.
On a taxable estate we will complete a full account (IHT400) and prepare a Statement of Truth for signing by the Executors / Administrators.
The IHT400 is submitted to H M Revenue & Customs together with the payment of Inheritance Tax. H M Revenue & Customs then return a receipt which confirms Inheritance Tax has been paid. This form is submitted to the Probate Registry along with the Statement of Truth and Will (if applicable).
Once we are in receipt of the Grant this would be passed to you to enable you to encash the assets, pay the liabilities and distribute the estate.
